SUMMARY
The ANSYS Electronics Documentation team is focused on producing high-quality technical content that enables our customers to maximize their use of Electronics software. We are seeking a Senior Technical Writer with a passion for creating written content and videos that demonstrate workflows and highlight key end-user procedures and information. The writer will take ownership and produce well-organized content that is useful, user friendly, and technically accurate.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create and produce end-user help and short videos for products in the Electronics suite
  • Interact with development, product management, and engineering to determine customer needs
  • Gather and analyze technical and product information from various sources to develop the best content
  • Determine appropriate outputs, such as topic-based help, videos, tutorials, and interactive learning systems
  • Develop competence in Electronics software, and use that experience when developing the documentation and videos

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Engineering, or other related academic disciplines
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical content creation, including experience in video creation
  • Ability to understand technical concepts to create clear and concise communication in product help and videos

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Masters degree is preferred
  • Experience with MadCap Flare is desirable
  • Experience with Camtasia or other tools for making videos is desirable
  • Experience with ANSYS Electronics software or similar engineering simulation software is a plus
  • Broad knowledge of electromagnetics or evidence demonstrating a strong ability to develop such knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment with strong emphasis on usability and quality
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
